Meet the team
Warren Koepp recently retired from North East ISD in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as a Math Instructional Coach and taught Algebra 1 and Geometry at a magnet middle school. Certified in Mathematics (grades 7-12), he has also taught Precalculus, AP Calculus, and other secondary math courses.
Prior to entering secondary education in 2017 Dr. Koepp served on the mathematics faculty of three different Texas universities, where his academic activities focused on the preparation and support of math teachers at all levels. He also worked at Education Service Center Region 18 as a mathematics education consultant for 5 years, providing professional development training to teachers in the ESC’s 33 partner school districts.
Outside of professional life Warren partnered with his wife, Kelly Koepp, in building a family life that includes two adult children, considerable experience in community theater, and about 10 years as a licensed soccer referee.
He has been known to juggle, and occasionally has been seen riding a unicycle.
Recently retired from Ft. Sam Houston ISD, Kelly Koepp has spent her entire career serving people with special needs, most recently as a special education teacher (since 2013). Her Texas Educator Certifications include Special Education (all-level), Speech (grades 7-12), Generalist (all subjects, grades 4-8), and Principal (all-level).
As a Special Education teacher Kelly has worked with students from elementary through high school, including as the lead teacher in an 18-Plus program. Prior to entering K-12 education, Kelly served a state Transition Specialist assisting special-needs adults entering the work force, and as Director of Career Services at two Texas colleges.
For the last several decades Kelly Koepp has partnered with her husband, Warren Koepp, in a family life that includes two adult children, a lot of time on the community theater stage, and time in the outdoors refereeing soccer for a decade.
Kelly is an avid musician, and currently plays trumpet and flugelhorn in the Concert and Dance Bands and Beethoven Maennerchor in San Antonio.
